Neek? Now you’ll have the best of both worlds!

Superheroes and books have never been this close before!

Last year, DC Comics and Warner Bros announced they had partnered up with Random House Books to bring us the new series “DC Icons”. And why is there so much hype about this? Because four of the most successful YA authors of the moment will be in charge of bringing it to life!

Here are the four upcoming novels based on DC Comics:

Leigh Bardugo – Wonder Woman: Warbringer

By Leigh Bardugo

August 29th, 2017

Yes, it came out this Tuesday! According to Goodreads, this will be an origin story… with a twist. Diana, Princess of the Amazons, will face a terrible challenge: she will oppose her people to save Alia Keralis, a mortal who is, in fact, a Warbringer.

Both of them will have to make a series of decisions which, in the end, will determine whether the world will be saved or doomed.

Having brought us series such as Six of Crows, I’m sure Leigh Bardugo has done an amazing job bringing us the epic story of one of the most iconic superheroes of history.

Marie Lu – Batman: Nightwalker

By Marie Lu

January 2nd, 2018

Next up will be Batman, brought us by the author of Legend and Young Elites. This will also be a story about how Bruce Wayne became what he is now: Gotham City’s Dark Knight. But now, the Nightwalkers are executing the city’s elites one by one, and Bruce Wayne is next on their list. However, he encounters Madeleine Wallace, a killer who will become his only hope.

Because Batman is my favourite superhero, it’s one of the novels I’m the most excited about!

These are two of the four novels that have been officially revealed, however, we still need to wait a little longer for:

Matt de la Peña’s  Superman, which will come out until 2018

And

Sarah J. Maas’s Catwoman, expected to be released on 2018 as well.
